Flexi Pastry Beef Lasagna

This dish was created for my daughter who were competing in the "Juara Chef Muda Kawan di Sinar". Alhamdulillah, at the age of 9 (soon to be in Oct 2011) she secured the 1st Runner-Up spot and won RM800 cash price.

FP Beef Lasagna & FP Salad

My darling daughter "Baby", managed to prepare the dish herself after a good four times practices at home. Everyday we called family and friends to come to our house for food testing. After winning, Baby has also received orders for the FP Beef Lasagna. Kudos Baby!!!

Recipe

FP Beef Lasagna (3 servings of a medium size lasagna bowl)

2 sheets of Kawan plain Flexi Pastry
Shallots, garlic and Onion (diced into cubes)
300 gm of minced beef
1 bottle of Kimball traditional spaghetti sauce (your choice)
1/2 tin of tomato puree
some diced fresh tomatoes
2 carrots
1/2 tomato soup (3tbsp for the lasagna sauce and some for layering)
some mushrooms
oregano
black pepper
salt
Italian herbs
mozarella cheese
parsley for garnishing
butter

Cook the lasagna sauce (fry shallots, garlic, onion, minced beef, spaghetti sauce, tomato puree, tomato soup, carrot, mushroom, blackpepper, salt & oregano - in order)
Layer 1 : spread the lasagna sauce, spread some tomato soup, layer with cheese, flexi pastry into a greased (buttered) lasagna bowl
Layer 2: repeat Layer 1. Top the lasagna with a handful of mozarella cheese and sprinkle some Italian herbs.

Bake in 180C for 20 minutes
Garnish with parsley on top.
